About the role
As a Systems Dev Spec at our company, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing sophisticated software solutions to enhance health and environmental outcomes using cutting-edge technologies. Your responsibilities will include: - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to architect, implement, and optimize solutions on various platforms such as AWS, Azure, ServiceNow, and enterprise systems - Taking ownership of the full software development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to deployment and continuous improvement - Developing cloud applications, creating data pipelines, and building AI-powered features to shape the future of scientific technology To excel in this role, you should have: - A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 8 years in systems development and architecture - Strong expertise in Java, Python, or JavaScript - Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS and Azure - Proficiency in database technologies, SQL, API development, and integration - Experience with modern development frameworks and tools such as React, Angular, and Spring Boot - Strong understanding of API design, microservices architecture, and DevOps practices - Familiarity with agile development methodologies and enterprise systems integration - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills Must-have skills for this role include: - Proficiency in Java/Spring (Spring Boot) based applications - Cloud expertise in AWS/Azure - Knowledge of SQL, database technologies, API development, and integration - Familiarity with frameworks like React, Angular, and Spring Boot - Experience in DevOps, CI/CD, version control, and agile methodologies - Understanding of enterprise systems integration, security best practices, and compliance Good-to-have skills: - Exposure to AI/ML frameworks - Familiarity with project management tools like Jira and Azure DevOps - Broader multi-tech/platform exposure The company also values strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills, as well as participation in on-call support rotations when needed.
