About the role
Role: Android Mobile Developer Location: Day shift EST /Remote Long term contract ONLY W2-NO C2C Job Description •Software Engineer, Android (Remote-Eligible) Responsibilities: o Develop Android client code solutions that deliver on Product Strategy and adhere to established engineering best practices, design guidelines and principles o Partner with Software Engineers, UX/UI, Quality Engineers, Product Owners/Analysts to deliver high performing quality customer experiences that are engaging, purposeful and powerful in their simplicity o Actively participate in all team agile ceremonies, contributing to ensure that all team commitments are delivered on time and of the highest quality o Be an active advocate of the mobile platform through both internal and external developer communities o Remain an active learner in all technologies related to mobile development (Kotlin, Swift, 3rd party libraries, etc.) o Influence and contribute to group discussions and incorporate feedback/communication from the broader team o Mentor junior to mid-level members of the team o Actively engage with developers outside of the local sprint team across various disciplines (Android, iOS, APIs, Web, etc.) o Own and lead delivery of major components and platform needs in partnership with senior engineers and Architects o Consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across sprint teams o Identify technical obstacles early and work closely with the team to find creative solutions o Review pull requests and ensure adherence to Kotlin and other language idioms o Grow and provide SME level leadership Basic Qualifications: o Bachelor’s Degree o At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply) o At least 3 years of experience building Android applications o At least 3 years of experience with Kotlin Preferred Qualifications: o Master’s Degree o 5+ years of experience building Android applications o 4+ years of experience with Kotlin o 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks o 2+ years of experience with Agile practices Thanks & Regards, Naveen Sai - Sr Technical Recruiter Thought wave Software and Solutions 314 N.
