Role: Android Lead Location: REMOTE Duration: Long Term Client: Skechers W2 Only. REMOTE Responsibilities: • Collaborate with cross-functional team tech leads to define, communicate, and coordinate software architectures • Lead a distributed team of mobile application developers ensuring conformance to technical standards, compliance with governing processes, and ongoing coaching and mentoring that inspires quality and productivity of the team. • Stay current with emerging trends in mobile technology • Effectively communicate technical solutions and recommendations to business stakeholders, program team members, technical leadership, and team. • Participate in the evaluation and selection of best-in-class products needed to successfully implement new designs • Define, prioritize and manage the plans for addressing mobile technical debt • Support mobile teams in creating Proofs of Concept for new technologies and design patterns • Drive the development of enterprise test frameworks/software to ensure proper and efficient execution and adherence to business and technical requirements Qualifications: • Expert level experience with designing and delivering optimized native mobile apps in client-server architectures • Strong working experience with writing high-quality, testable, maintainable, and well-documented code • Expert level knowledge of industry best practices for design and implementation of mobile native applications • Strong working experience with multiple of the following: Android SDK, Objective-C, Swift, Java, Kotlin, Microservices • Expert level experience with mobile native technology, user interface design and development, service integration development • 7+ years’ hands-on experience in Mobile Application Development using Java based Android (Native) • Knowledge of the Android build process, should be able to work on library-based Projects, Android Studio • Experience with UI development, Android Components: Database, Service, Content Providers, Consuming REST Web Services, JSON/XML parsing, OOAD, Design patterns, n-tier Architecture, Multi-Threading, Rx Java, Rx Android, Android Jetpack and Architecture Components • Knowledge of Java and Gradle. Experience in Kotlin preferred • Experience building large scale, complex, iOS/Android applications optimized for both UX and performance • Experience building test automation frameworks for mobile applications • Project experience with enterprise in-house development focusing transactional business data processing and endpoint integrations • Good understanding of OO Design, concurrency, synchronization, memory management, data structures, algorithms, etc. • Working experience and knowledge in TDD & BDD development practices • Willingness to mentor and advise other engineering team members RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE 7+ years native mobile application development experience 10+ years software development experience 5+ years web services development experience using REST, JSON, XML TOP 3 SKILLS: Should have worked on latest Android X Components/Android SDKS OFFSHORE – ONSITE Work model experience Top communication and presentattion EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred Thanks & Regards, Mohan Kumar B | Technical Recruiter | Wave Solutions Inc. | 1444 N.
