About the role
Role: Angular UI Developer
Location: 100% Remote (EST Hours Worked) Duration: TBD (likely 1 year SOW+) Number of Openings: 4-5
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Front-End Developer (Angular UI Developer) to join our team. As a Front-End Developer (Angular UI Developer), you will play a vital role in creating and implementing user interfaces using Angular. You will work with dynamic server-side APIs, write JavaScript and TypeScript code, and debug across multiple browsers. Your creativity and expertise will contribute to the development of reusable Angular UI components while also focusing on state management and presentation logic.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 7+ years of professional work experience including demonstrated professional experience utilizing JavaScript, Angular, AngularJS, and Web Services to develop web-based software solutions; Cobol and DB2 are not required but will be considered an added advantage. • 5+ years of Angular/AngularJS experience is required. • Strong expertise in JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, and CSS. • Experience working in a modern single-page application framework, such as Angular 16+. • Experience mentoring developers and conducting code reviews. • Experience utilizing asynchronous concepts, including callbacks, promises, event handlers, and reactive programming. • Experience integrating RESTful APIs for server-side functionality. • Experience organizing and managing state reactively across multiple components. • Ability to break down front-end components into business logic and presentation logic, ensuring separation of concerns and maintainability. • Experience transforming designer comps into visually appealing and accessible interfaces from designer comps.
Responsibilities
• Converting mainframe source code and database structures to a modern distributed application/application systems architecture in Angular. • Ability to review and analyze existing COBOL code to determine the business logic that needs to be preserved. • Take existing logic and re-implemented in a modern programming language that is compatible with AngularJS, such as JavaScript or TypeScript. • The user interface will then be built using AngularJS/Angular, taking advantage of its features to create a responsive and interactive web application. • Foster a culture of mentorship, collaborating closely with and supporting other team members. • Collaborate closely with the development team to create and implement new features using Angular 16+, ensuring separation of concerns and maintainability. • Utilize JavaScript, TypeScript, RxJS, and a reactive state pattern to access dynamic server-side APIs and translate RESTful API data into functional user interfaces. • Create and implement a combination of Angular Material and in-house presentational components to meet design requirements. • Create and thoroughly test reusable Angular UI components to enhance user experience and ensure maintainability. • Debug existing code across various browsers, ensuring smooth functionality.
Additional Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves): • Experience using external component libraries like Angular Material, Material-UI, Bootstrap, Tailwind, etc. • Proficiency with version control tools like GIT/VSTS.
