Ansible Engineer

Position: Ansible Engineer Location: 100% remote (cannot use ppl in PST) Duration: long term consulting role (12+ months) Job Summary: Day to day work is about 70/30 customer facing and backend work. Looking for some who is willing to do less hands on coding and more so teaching consumers how to write playbooks and how to code and utilize Ansible. Required Skills: • 5+ years developing complex integrations and infrastructure orchestration in Ansible • 5+ years of application development / scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, JSON, Unix Shell, Ruby, YAML) • Proven technical leader with increasing level of responsibility, strong consulting preferred • 3+ years of software/system design in a DevOps lifecycle • 2+ experience developing CI/CD pipelines • Significant testing background with knowledge of automated testing processes • Experience working in large Agile organizations Preferred Skills / Knowledge: • Knowledge of other Automation/Orchestration toolsets • Knowledge of virtualized infrastructure design and administration • Knowledge and skills related to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
