Role:Oracle HCM Architect

Location: Chicago, IL (downtown) Duration: Permanent

Currently seeking a Senior Solutions Architect, Oracle HCM Cloud to join our Information Technology team As a Senior Solutions Architect, Oracle HCM Cloud you will be responsible for solutioning the HR Platform including - designing, implementing, and supporting the Oracle HCM Cloud platform: inclusive of Core HR, Payroll, Absence, Time and Labor, Compensation, Recruiting, Performance, Goals, Digital Assistant, HR HelpDesk, and Learn modules. You will produce technical solutions and integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud, build reporting and analytics with Oracle Analytics Cloud, BI Publisher, and OTBI. You’ll collaborate and work closely with business partners and IT Business Analysts to better understand technology objectives, determine where improvements can be made, and assist in configuring the Oracle HCM Cloud application to address those business needs and improvement goals.

What You’ll Do

Design, document, and develop solutions for the Oracle HCM Cloud application, including reporting, data interfaces, and configuration of payroll flows per defined business requirements. Collaborate with business partners and IT Business Analysts to understand ongoing business needs and translate technical requirements into deliverables. This might include reviewing issues reported from end users, determining and reconciling discrepancies, solving for root cause of errors, and developing solutions to correct them. Recommend technical approaches and solutions to meet organization and business partner needs and solve business problems related to the Oracle HCM Cloud application. Lead or participate in requirements gathering sessions, to discuss technology capabilities and address any technical concerns, Produce prototypes to present to users, then analyze and resolve any potential design problems. Create ad-hoc data extract reports for analysis, inclusive of formatting and auditing critical business data. Assist in identifying and executing test plans, which may include creating, reviewing, executing, and tracking test plans and results. Lead or support the implementation of assigned development work, while ensuring both quality and project timeline objectives are met throughout the integration. Become an Oracle HCM Cloud application expert and serve as a trusted advisor to the organization on the technology. Perform other duties and participate in special projects, as needed.

Who You Are

Knowledgeable-Your background includes HR Experience-Oracle HCM Cloud preferred and/or EBS, which you’ve built through 4+ years of professional work experience. You are comfortable with data management using HR extracts, HR Data Loader (HDLs), mass data updates/uploads, and solving business needs with fast formulas. You have experience building integrations with tools such as Oracle Integration Cloud. You have report and analytics building experience with tools like Oracle Transactional Reporting, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Custom Data Models with SQL, Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP) Reports. You are also comfortable with Oracle security role configuration. Problem Solver-You are a creative thinker, who focuses on the problem as stated and gathers information and knowledge to achieve an appropriate technical solution. You lean on your business and IT partners to provide specifics on needs and collaborate with them to recommend technical approaches. You achieve success by translating business needs into technical features and functional enhancements. Requirements & Previous Experience

Bachelor's degree required, with an emphasis in computer science or information systems preferred. OR 4+ years work experience with Oracle Cloud HCM. Experience developing and maintaining inbound/outbound integrations within Oracle Integration Cloud is a plus. Experience with HCM extracts, mass data updates/uploads, Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) reporting tools, BI Publisher, SQL, and Fast Formulas. Specific experience with payroll, absence, time & labor, and compensation modules is strongly preferred! Strong understanding of software usability practices. Familiar with the software development lifecycle and standards. Proven strong work ethic, ability to make decisions, and adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment, without sacrificing quality of work product. Detail oriented and well-organized, with an exceptional ability to multi-task. Strong communication skills; able to speak and write in a clear and articulate manner to end users and senior management on a non-technical level, while dealing with other IT professionals on a technical level. Demonstrated ability to listen to customer needs and provide a solution. Strong problem solving and debugging skills. Team player that demonstrates flexibility and the ability to integrate and work well with others. Self-motivated to succeed, with capacity to assume increasing responsibility.
