AUTOMATION ARCHITECT

Role: Infrastructure Automation Architect

Duration:12 months location:Remote

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Automation Architect to join our team. The Infrastructure Automation Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing automation processes for our infrastructure, including server provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment. The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of automation tools and platforms, and be able to work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and secure.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain automation processes for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment Develop infrastructure automation scripts using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Salt Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that infrastructure automation aligns with business requirements Develop and implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure that infrastructure is performing optimally Maintain documentation of automation processes and infrastructure configurations Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement, and develop solutions to increase efficiency and reduce risk Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices, and incorporate new tools and techniques as appropriate Provide guidance and mentorship to other members of the infrastructure team

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 5+ years of experience in infrastructure automation and architecture Strong understanding of infrastructure automation tools and platforms, including Terraform, Ansible, and Salt Experience with building on-prem infrastructure automation solutions using Infrastructure as Code and GitOps principles. Experience building Self-Service Infrastructure platforms is a plus. Experience with containerization and container orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes Understanding of networking and security concepts and best practices Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and ability to work in a team environment Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously Certifications in relevant technologies, such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), HashiCorp Infrastructure Automation, AWS and/or Azure Cloud Professional certifications.
