Automation Test Engineer

JOB SUMMARY is looking for a Test Engineer Contractor for our App team. We are looking for test engineers that are passionate about working on some of the most popular sports applications available on a mobile device. Since its inception in 2001, the tech arm of Major League Baseball has been renowned for creating mobile experiences that baseball fans love - and we're just getting started! The App is the #1 source for live baseball on mobile devices and is the official app of Major League Baseball. As a Test Engineer on the App team your primary responsibilities will be to write test automation for new and existing features within theApp, work in an agile environment with other technical staff, and to be a technical leader in shaping the quality of the app for years to come. THE WORK ? Work with the latest mobile test automation and continuous integration technologies, including Appium and GitHub Actions. ? Build test automation for application features and functions across a variety of iOS and Android devices ? Build a contextual fan experience that is unique to each fan within the application. ? Work with a team of engineers to implement cutting-edge features into the application to enhance a fan’s experience while following baseball. ? Work closely with the product management, design and engineering teams in an agile environment and bring quality and testing to ALL phases of the application’s development cycle. ? Own quality assurance and test frameworks for the MLB App. ? Work closely with Android, iOS, and backend services teams to create test solutions that work across both platforms. ? Help shape the way fans interact with baseball by bringing passion for the game and the fans into test design, implementation, and execution. ? Drive innovation in test automation framework development, bringing the latest ideas & concepts to continually evolve application quality. YOU HAVE ? 3-5 years of experience working in a Test Engineering position. ? 1-2 years of experience building mobile application test automation (Appium, Espresso, UI Automator, XCUITest) ? Experience with software coding especially as it relates to building test automation. (Java, Javascript, Kotlin, Swift) ? Experience integrating automated tests into a CI/CD pipeline. (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, Bamboo) ? Experience with test methodologies and a variety of test types such as functional, integration/contract, performance, security, usability, and accessibility testing. ? Experience working in an agile environment and familiarity with typical scrum methods. ? Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. ? Strong problem solving skills. ?
