About the role
Role: AWS Cloud Engineer Vendor/Client: Apex/US Bank Duration: Through end of year + extension for another year Location: Irving, TX or Minneapolis, MN Pay Rate: $50/hr on W2 Top Requirements: • AWS – Amazon Connect (for IVR), Lambdas, S3, Ec2, IAM, team takes AMI’s and deploys via terraform. Familiarity with Amazon connect is good – will train up here • Terraform – needs to know how to build templates from scratch, given auto scaling. JSON for template writing, will use vault to keep secrets. • CI/CD an devops knowledge – should have knowledge to take out limitations – example given would be if they are deploying 1 secret, how could they automate to handle more in 1 pipeline? • Python – Devops, key/defining tools/strategy. Automation centric, will be working within operations Day-to-day: • Moving towards an AWS journey (transformation) – contact center • Chat bots • Amazon • Lambda connections • Terraform • Automation • Will start as consulting/teaching others + then do it themselves • He’s moving to a new group – devops/automation/aws environment • This person is starting a team – they are partnering with other teams to implement -- Thanks & Regards, K.
