About the role
ROLE: AWS DATA ENGINEER
DURATION: 12-month contract LOCATION:100 percent remote
60 percent Data engineering/ 40 percent Cloud Engineering
Must haves Python Pyspark AWS – EC2, EMR, Containers- CERT WOULD BE GOOD KUBERNETES
Job Description:
relevant experience • Recent, hands-on development experience with AWS Services (Lambda, Step Functions, Glue, EMR, API Gateway, EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, IAM, SQS, ECS, EKS, Fargate, etc.) and AWS SDKs/CLI required • Recent, hands-on Python and PySpark development experience • Strong experience with cloud-based applications • Applied experience in solution architecture and business critical platform design • Practical knowledge of SQL, Postgress, Gitlab • Practical knowledge of Data Warehousing Platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, Postgres) • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Exceptional problem-solving/critical thinking and root cause analysis skills • Ability to learn and adapt new technologies • Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) • Experience deploying machine learning models is highly desired as well as prior Insurance domain experience is a plus • Exposure to Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI and ThoughtSpot is a plus
