About the role
• Candidate will be expected to be hands-on Leading Technical Agile teams on Enterprise Data Centric solutions. • Execute with Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a self-driven motivated manner while working in a team and/or independently as required • Ability to be summarize complex technical subjects to senior management and developers with excellent Communication skills – both written and verbal • Working with customers to triage Kubernetes problems in both cloud based and on premise environments. • Educating customers on best practices when it comes to Kubernetes installation and usage. • Evolving and building best practice materials for all aspects of Kubernetes to maintain our position as the leader in the market. • Leveraging product usage data to proactively engage customers who are experiencing Kubernetes deployment and operations issues. • Advocating the customer s perspective during product and architecture planning. • Providing a clear view into all defect and feature requests from customers. • Working directly with Field Operations (i. e., sales, account management) to process defect and feature requests encountered during adoption and retention efforts. • Experienced Cloud Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the computer software industry. Skilled in Cloud Computing, Container platform, Linux, and Shell Scripting Important Qualifications: • Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux, AWS • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Vagrant, etc. • Strong knowledge of the building blocks of Kubernetes
- Knowledge of networking in Kubernetes
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging with Kubernetes
- Strong knowledge of how a Kubernetes Platform operates (service discovery, deployments, monitoring, scheduling, load balancing) • Scripting experience (Bash & python) Preferred Qualifications: • Knowledge of designing and adapting software to be twelve factor applications • Knowledge of continuous integration via tools like Jenkins and Wercker • L2 vs. L3 networking, network architecture, VLANs • Root cause analysis • Messaging Queues (Kafka, 0MQ, RabbitMQ, etc.)
