Role / Title: AWS DevOps Engineer Location: Memphis, TN-100% Remote Duration: 18-month contract to hire with possible extension or conversion to FTE 100% remote Skillset (top 3-5):4-6 years of AWS DevOps exp, CI/CD exp, Linux and Kubernetes(Must have all 4) Official JD: Job Description: Day-To- Day Responsibilities: A DevOps Engineer will be responsible for enabling the development and deployment of different services and applications, working to operationalize new applications and supporting agile teams by enabling Continuous Delivery (CD) and Continuous Integration best practices (CI). This includes building out tools and automation features to help keep our core platform and applications running and available. Additional responsibilities consist of keeping our platforms up, actively monitoring the stacks, ensuring automated builds & deployments are functioning successfully and working with Quality and Security teams to enable automated QA and Security testing capabilities. The DevOps Engineer will juggle multiple tasks requiring multiple skills. The DevOps Engineer will help script out solutions, build long-term solutions, and help keep production/staging/development environments as pristine and up as possible. Must be experienced automating routine tasks. A primary focus of the job involves keeping systems scaling and maintained. You must have some experience with infrastructure security to keep our data secure and protected Specific responsibilities include: Design, architect, and implement next generation Cloud architecture and automation solutions Implement, maintain, and improve Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery environments Own and lead initiatives to define, design, and implement DevOps solutions which includes reference architectures, estimates, and costing Provide technical leadership, project guidance, and technology implementation in various areas such as UI, COTS applications, SaaS applications, APIs, Micro-services etc Be an enabler for a successful and smooth transition from development to delivery of technology applications Perform profiling, troubleshooting of existing solutions Create technical documentation Qualifications Include: 3-5 years of experience as a DevOps engineer with AWS Strong experience working and building out CI/CD pipelines Experience working with Linux and Kubernetes
