About the role
Role: AWS DevOps Engineer Location: 100% Remote Duration: 6-12 Months Visa: USC/GC, Summary Our client builds innovative technologies that are used in Salesforce products. We have an immediate need for a strong AWS DevOps Engineer to join our application development team. This position is fully remote. Our client is seeking an experienced AWS-focused DevOps Engineer that will lead in the full product lifecycle from design to post-deployment management of AWS infrastructure and automation. The role will also have a focus on developing and supporting the continuous delivery and integration processes of highly scalable systems. They will be part of a growing team, ensuring the performance, security, and observability of our client's AWS cloud-based platform. This position will also give one the opportunity to contribute in the evaluation of new technology alternatives for our client. Duties & Responsibilities: • Design, automate, deploy, and maintain cloud-based AWS production systems using Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes • Work collaboratively with others in the development team to define infrastructure and deployment requirements • Troubleshoot systems and provide problem resolution across Salesforce applications that interface with the AWS platform • Support and have a strong understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes • Work closely with other members of the product and support teams during product development and deployment • Lead the migration of updates and system changes into production and dev environments • Script and automate manual system tasks using Terraform, Puppet, and other similar technologies • Take ownership of the DevOps aspects of our products • Identify areas of the system or processes that can be improved or handled in better ways • Lead and help manage the tasks of one to two other DevOps engineers • Communicate effectively Requirements: 3-5 years in a role with a strong focus on deploying, maintaining, and managing AWS Cloud infrastructures using the technologies below.
