About the role
ROLE: Azure Data Engineer (Security) Duration:6-12 months CTH Location: Remote for now Houston, TX Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like: - Hands-on engineering work is what they’re focusing on - Azure data engineering focused – Azure Data Hub, Data Lake, Data factory, etc. - Will be almost all cloud based – don’t build on-prem anymore so any work on-prem would just be to pull data logs over etc. - Almost everything is an Azure - not much in AWS right now but do occasionally transfer from data from S3 buckets - Not using Synapse right now but if someone had could be a plus. Not doing a lot of powerBI either (customer squad typically handles and platform squad does more of the data transformation work) Must-haves: 1. Azure data services (ADLS, ADF, DataBricks specifically) 2. Azure DevOps 3. Basic Scripting experience (Python or SCALA) 4. SQL Preferred qualifications: 1. C# experience 2. Experience with both structured/relational and non-structured (MongoDB) databases 3. Azure Data Explorer 4.
