About the role
Role: Azure Engineer
Duration: 6 Months Location: Remote
Required Skills: Azure expertise – deployment, data bricks, data lake, security, virtual machines Experience in monitoring/maintaining Azure environments – Grafana Scripting language – open to Python, SQL, or Java Understanding of DevOps environments & tools – Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub, etc.
Nice to Have: Terraform Healthcare experience Would be open to AWS instead of Azure, but not preferred
Job Description : Project: Optum Insight – Payment Integrity Team. They take in data from various clients (Affordable Care, Medicaid, etc.) and engineer the data into their systems. There are 15+ analytics models that then process the data and deliver results to the downstream teams to report to clients, the government, etc. This is an operations team, so they work on supporting everything the dev teams have built They are working on migrating the entire above process into Azure This is an entirely new space for this team, so they will need help getting up to speed in Azure
Day to Day: Work with the Azure lead to get the team up to speed on Azure technologies and best practices Monitor, maintain, and support the Azure environment Work with the QA team on performance tuning
