About the role
Azure Infrastructure Engineer, Austin, TX, Job Description :SUMMARY:We are a growing leader in the financial services industry and has recently completed a transition of its flagship web application, Advisor Complete, into Azure. Now that we are running fully in Azure, we are looking for capable and engaged Azure Infrastructure Engineers to assist our cloud infrastructure team in continuing to support and grow the platform. Additionally, client is rapidly acquiring other firms in the financial services arena, at least multiple per quarter, further expanding the number of assets we need to either move to or manage in the cloud. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily: Assisting with lifting and shifting into Azure the assets of newly acquired companiesManaging changes to Azure Infrastructure using Terraform, Azure Resource Manager templates, Bicep templates, and Azure BlueprintsProviding deployment assistance and troubleshooting support to Developers working on Azure-hosted projectsAuthoring tenant-wide Azure Policies helping ensure developers are adhering to organizational security and compliance requirementsFormulating Log Analytics queries both for issue troubleshooting and for establishing platform monitoring KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR ABILITIES: To perform this job successfully, the individual should have the following skills and abilities. Extensive understanding and experience with the following Azure functionality:Application Registrations, Users and Groups in Azure Active DirectoryAzure File SharesAzure MonitorAzure RBACAzure PolicyAzure Virtual Desktop PoolsGen 2 Storage AccountsLog AnalyticsManagement Groups, Subscriptions, and Resource GroupsVirtual Machine SKU ClassesFamiliarity with the general concepts and basic administration of:FTP ServersInternet Information Server (IIS)SQL Server 2017Windows Server 2016 & 2019 EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 2+ years managing Azure tenants and resources5+ years working in either a Developer or Systems Administrator capacityCERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Exam AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals – Highly DesiredExam AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator – Highly Desired Thanks & Regards Syam B, 630-923-6952 syam@thoughtwavesoft.com
