Overview:

PK’s Cloud Operations Team is looking for a full time Azure Systems Engineer. We provide Cloud Engineering and managed operations services to our clients, and we focus on doing that as awesomely as possible. Systems Engineers design, provision and help manage infrastructure to support the ongoing operations of our customers cloud environments, including PaaS and IaaS systems automation and onboarding, support and management systems, and reporting. Systems Engineers also directly support the customer environments, including provisioning, scaling, monitoring, configuration, change management, and security. You’re a passionate technologist that find ways to efficiently solve problems. You keep up with emerging technologies and how they might help you be more effective.

Responsibilities

• A typical day for a Systems Engineer might consist of:

• Onboarding a new client by deploying monitoring and alerting systems • Rolling out a patch cycle to keep environments up to date and secure • Designing a new microservices infrastructure for a client • Writing a new automation to reduce your workload • Writing documentation for a system you implemented • Troubleshooting a thorny technical issue in a timely manner • Working across teams to set expectations and deliver milestones

Qualifications

• You're good at:

• • Windows server platform technology • Windows environment core services, such as GPO/AD/DNS/DHCP • Azure cloud environments, including, provisioning, security, and spend management • Azure monitor and service health, Azure Apps, Azure Backup and Azure Automation, ACIs, and similar services • Written or verbal communication • Documentation

• It's great if you're:

• • Understand common approaches to enterprise Azure tenant architectures • have some experience with design and architecture • comfortable in PowerShell • have experience working within the ITIL framework

• It's a big win if you:

• • Hold advanced certifications on Azure, Windows Server or other MS products
