About the role
Role : Backend Developer
Location: Remote Duration: 6 Months Contract: W2
Team Size & Breakdown: There are Architects (Reference Architect) working on it now, but once they are up to speed, they would essentially be the only person working on this specific project. It’s a phased plan where they will work on modules in Phase 1, Phase 2 etc.
High-Level Individual Duties: They will work with the internal Architecture team to get access -> work closely with the Architects to get the work and start building • Breaking down the monolith -> keep as much of the scope as possible • Build the new app/services in GCP
Must-Haves (Concepts & Tools): JAVA 8+ / Spring Boot (annotations) / Spring Batch (flat files, CSV, unstructured / structured Java Memory Management Exception Handling Concurrency / Multithreading Kafka – Consumer / Producer Relational DBs (Postgres preferred & Oracle which is the legacy i.e. want someone who can understand the monolith) + NoSQL like Mongo or Cassandra / Big Query which is the direction they are using Testing – TDD (Unit / Integration) Basics of Cloud / DevOps – there are other units that take care of thi Legacy Experience (not building anything in these technologies) Data Persistence IO Packages Spring MVC SOAP / JAX-WS
