About the role
Role: BI Engineer
Location: Remote Duration: 12 month contract
Basic qualifications: Bachelor's degree in statistics, business analytics, data analytics, data science, computer science or related field 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R) Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared) Experience in designing and implementing custom reporting systems using automation tools Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience to process data for modeling Experience with AWS services such S3, Athena, Lambda, EC2, and DynamoDB Confidence in collaborating with technical and non-technical senior level staff
Preferred qualifications
Master's degree Experience gathering business requirements, using industry standard business intelligence tool(s) to extract data, formulate metrics and build reports Experience building and maintaining basic data artifacts (e.g., ETL, data models, queries) Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design Knowledge of how to improve code quality and optimizes BI processes (e.g. speed, cost, reliability) Experience with AWS services such as Redshift and Glue Comfort with ambiguity and eagerness to learn new skills
