Please go through below Job description and lf you are comfort/available for the position then respond with latest/updated resume to srinivas@wavsols.com or 630-397-0596/140 Role: Big Data Engineer Location: Rockville, MD Duration: 12 Months • 4-10 years’ experience • Spark, Scala, AWS, SQL, & Python • Any citizenship okay • 100% remote right now REQUIREMENTS: • Analyze system requirements and design responsive algorithms & solutions, • Use Big Data & Cloud technologies to produce production quality code, • Engage in performance tuning & availability engineering, • Work with team, peers & management to identify objectives and set priorities, • Perform related SDLC engineering activities like sprint planning & estimation, • Work effectively in small agile teams, • Provide creative solutions to problems, • Identify opportunities for improvement & execute effectively. QUALIFICATIONS: • Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or related field (Master's highly preferred) • Strong SQL and PL/SQL experience • Strong programming experience - Python, Scala or Java. • Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) • Experience with Hive/ Hadoop / MapReduce • Experience with Apache Spark • Must have excellent data analysis, design, and development skills • Experience with performance tuning ETL jobs and data models • Must have experience in a variety of data delivery methodologies and best practices (i.e. ingestion of large amounts of data) • Must be willing and able to support application development throughout the software life cycle from requirements analysis and design, through to implementation and maintenance.
