About the role
Role: Big Data Engineer/Architect/Developer Location: ideally would sit hybrid in either Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Dallas, Birmingham – will consider 100% Remote Duration: 12+Months Project Details Apex Systems client is going through a Migration from Cloudera Data Hadoop (CDH) version 6.3 to Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) version 7.7. We are looking for 2-3 Big Data Engineers/Architect to lead this migration effort. Ideal candidates would have migration experience form Cloudera CDH to Cloudera CDP. Technical Skills • 8+ years of overall IT experience with more than 4+ years of experience in Hadoop/Big Data technologies (HDFS, SQOOP, Hive, Pig, Spark, Impala etc..) • Strong Hands-on experience in working with Cloudera Data Hadoop (CDH) and Cloudera Distribution (CDP) on Hadoop, Kerberos AD integration, upgradation to new CDP versions and migration. • Strong exp. in Integrating current Hadoop for Authorization & Authentication into Active Directory and Kerberos. • Expertise in MS SQL Server Database and Performance tuning experience, Batch and distributed computing using ETL/ELT (Spark /SQL Server DWH) • Experience in No SQL Databases such as MongoDB etc., • At least one end-to-end implementation project experience on data processing pipeline using Hadoop (CDP) ecosystem, Data Lake and Data Warehouse. • Ability to review technical deliverables, mentor and drive technical teams to deliver quality products. • Ability of data profiling, data quality assessment, business rules validations to incorporate validation and verification mechanism to ensure data quality is of high value/standards.
