Job Title: Business Analyst Location: Remote Must haves: Programming language Model validation Model Development BA skills Jib Description: Project Info: • Business Analyst resource will sit within an SME business function within Corporate Treasury (part of BNYM Finance), named Asset Liability Management (ALM). Among other responsibilities, ALM is responsible for firmwide balance sheet forecasting and planning. • Project-based role in support of a new platform for firmwide forecasting & budgeting. The central Treasury team is leading an effort to reimagine two distinct forecasting processes in order to merge them into 1 integrated platform using a third party vendor based software, Quantitative Risk Management (QRM). The new forecasting platform will feed existing finance systems for reporting as well as a Treasury specific data visualization toolset. • The project is atypical in nature, being proportionally executed 20% by the technology teams and 80% by multiple business teams. The candidate will be part of the Treasury business function responsible for project execution and will be one of the Business Analysts for the initiative. • The second phase of the project is intended to be completed by end of 3Q22 in support of the finance budget cycle for the upcoming year. Responsibilities: • Gather, analyze, document, and validate the requirements of 50+ business end user Finance teams. • Conduct interviews with end users and illustrate their needs via Customer Journey Maps • Elicit business requirements from business users and subject matter experts using Design Thinking / Agile delivery principles • Partner with Treasury subject matter experts in QRM vendor software to ensure new vendor module being onboarded meets end user requirements. • Understand the firm’s forecasting operational cycle and utilize business process reengineering skillset to deliver an equal or better process. Document via current state and target state process maps (in Vizio). • Own creation of target state reporting data dictionary, inclusive of data lineage back to input data sources • Prepare training materials with detailed use cases and facilitate training sessions for 50+ business end user Finance teams. The candidate will be expected to acquire knowledge regarding current state processes performed by the LOB business teams in order empathize and validate no gaps in delivery • Lead development of reconciliation, validation and control tools that can be leveraged in multiple phases of the project and post Go Live • Develop a process to intake requirements into an inventory and establish a change control protocol. Manage the scope and prioritization of requirements during initial gathering phase as well as design, testing and delivery phases. Required Skills: • 7-10yrs experience leading business requirements gathering, design and solutioning of an enterprise-level application within Corporate Treasury / Finance / Risk function (eg General Ledger, Finance MIS / Reporting system, a firmwide risk Credit Risk / Market Risk / Liquidity risk platform, etc) • Knowledge of balance sheet and financial instruments, finance / management reporting systems, Net Interest Income / Expense calculations, and Funds Transfer Pricing a plus • Prior experience in Finance Management & Analysis / Planning & Analysis / CFO team in a financial services firm is a plus • Knowledge of Vizio in order to document current state processes and propose target state processes is preferred. • Knowledge of SQL in order to perform data analysis to validate business requirements and propose fact based solutions. • Candidate must be a self-starter, willing to learn new content and tools/processes quickly in order to contribute in a short contract role • Ability to work well and communicate with technical and non-technical resources (ie stakeholders of varying expertise) • Strong organizational skills and proactive nature (expected to drive creative solutioning of requirements without significant guidance) • Experience in all facets of requirements gathering, design and solutioning in an enterprise-level application is a must • Communication ability via video conferencing will be a key factor in final candidate decisions • Geographically open but will need to support EST business hours Thanks&Regards, Kiran Tumuluri IT-Recruiter Staffing | Thought wave Software and Solutions Limited 6308125139kiran@thoughtwavesoft.com www.thoughtwavesoft.com 314 N.
