Apex has an opportunity for a Business Systems Analyst w/Cobol JCL experience to join our team in a fast-paced Financial Services industry client on an exciting project! Description: Solves organizational information problems and requirements by analyzing requirements; designing computer programs; recommending system controls and protocols. Business System Analyst in Host / Mainframe with expertise in JCL scripting and COBOL programming language as well as DB2, z/OS. • Generate data mapping documentation for existing legacy processes and reports by reading COBOL/JCL and transcribing program logic into mappings suitable for use by ETL developers. • Mapping documentation must include field by field detail, transformation logic, comments and requirements from source data table to target state data sets. Candidate must be able to: • Read and interpret mainframe COBOL/JCL and convert contained logic into data mapping requirements. • Understand DB2 and z/OS • Deliver on commitments as defined by the project. • Be a highly motivated, self-driven individual who can operate independently and take ownership of assigned tasks. • Have strong attention to detail and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. • Exhibit a proven ability to adjust quickly to shifting priorities and rapid change • Have strong knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams. • Knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter will be added advantage • Knowledge of Spanish language will be added advantage Core Requirements: - Read and interpret mainframe COBOL/JCL and convert contained logic into data mapping requirements. - Understand DB2 and z/OS - Have strong knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
