Business Systems Analyst

Project: Building a new app for eligibility for the members- this app will be in charge of the ID card, aka when to automate a new one to be mailed to the member. 1. Strong SQL and analytical skills- don't need to be a coder. 2. Agile exp 3.Exp in modern app development (Scrum/Devops) 4. Java/Microservices– Don’t need to code it, but need to have experience gathering requirements for development, maintenance and data flow Client JD: Ideal candidate will have balanced skills of technology and systems analysis. For technology - broad skills across technologies, and systems analysis/design experience for healthcare Payer systems with emphasis on member enrollment/eligibility. Experienced in agile methodologies What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position? (Please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis) * Lead, plan and provide design to address business requirements and deliver value. * Elicit, analyze, document and translate functional and non-functional requirements into Features and User Stories for scrum teams * Collaborate with solutions architect and technical architect in understanding business requirements/features/Technology and create user stories to deliver the solution. * Support planning and estimating process * Own and drive delivery of requirements/user stories with stakeholders and scrum teams * Collaborate to define test requirements and ensure product meets functional and non-functional business requirements and delivers value. * Support analysis, communicating impact and resolving production issues * Consult with stakeholders, partners and scrum teams on business, operations and technology solutions * Consult with stakeholders and the scrum team on adoption of best practices and methodologies * Demonstrate and apply understanding of UnitedHealth Group's business - Health plan design & member enrollment & eligibility maintenance functions What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily responsibilities? * Extremely good in business and systems analysis with solid knowledge of software engineering and design principles. * Possess broad skills across technology platforms * Expert Agile experience and knowledge * Expert healthcare (plan design, member enrollment & eligibility) experience and knowledge * Past technical experience in legacy or java based stack * Expert SQL skills * Experience working on applications using modern open-source technologies What skills/attributes are a must have? * 7+ years of progressive experience in varied technology roles * 5+ years work experience in business and systems analysis * 5+ years work experience as business or systems analyst in healthcare domain with specific focus on plan design, member enrollment & eligibility * 3+ years experience in Agile What skills/attributes are nice to have? * 2+ years of Hands-on technical experience in java technology stack * Exposure to Dev/ops
