Job Description:
Client, Division of Enterprise and Technology, is seeking a Business Analyst for a $19 billion state administered retirement system. Located in Frankfort, KY, Client is responsible for the investment of funds and administration of benefits for over 386,000 state and local government employees in the Client. These employees include state employees, state police officers, city and county employees, as well as non-teaching staff of local school boards and regional universities. The Client Branch is responsible for the design and implementation of business and software solutions for complex and interesting challenges for the organization. The team consists of business analysts and other professionals who, among other duties, work as liaisons between the business units and technology staff to determine workable solutions, solve problems and streamline processes to provide better services to staff, members and other stakeholders of Client. Remote conditions Should be flexible to work onsite post pandemic General skills Must have Business Analyst Testing experience IT skills Must have SQL TFS Agile Languages Must have English Native or bilingual proficiency Experience required Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Documenting design and participating in implementation of LOB and peripheral software application enhancements and modifications. Managing multiple priorities and designs at any given time. Analyzing legislation for potential impact. Working with business and technical teams to prioritize backlog. Authoring, documenting and executing test scripts for complex changes, including testing for interface, database and print. Providing research and recommendations for resolution of Production issues. Troubleshooting issues as they arise for business teams and determining criticality. Working with development and technical teams to provide needed information for implementation of new features and enhancements. Receiving, processing, and fulfilling data requests from external stakeholders, executives and business units using business knowledge and technical tools. This may also include correcting data where needed. Preparing and maintaining process documentation. Desired Qualifications
Minimum 4 years’ experience in Business Analysis with experience in requirements elicitation, business process and software design and documentation and QA testing. Experience facilitating and leading designs with business and technical staff for the implementation and prioritization of application enhancements and modifications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Initiative – Taking care of responsibilities without close supervision. Communication Skills – Communicates timely and clearly. Communication skills can be verbal, non- verbal and written. Organization – Establish priorities systematically, excellent time management, planning and scheduling, and coordination of resources. Teamwork – Willingness to pitch in to complete projects and meet deadlines. Bonus Qualifications
