• Creating a dynamic, scalable, cloud ecosystem through automation, infrastructure as code, and self-service capabilities • Architecting, designing, and implementing cloud environments • Establishing architectural standards, reference architectures, and best practices • Leveraging infrastructure as code to provide automation and self-service capabilities • Providing consulting for teams throughout ET on cloud technologies and processes • As a Cloud Architect/Engineer, you will be an integral part of an engineering team that uses design, engineering, and technology skills to deliver AWS solutions for Securian Financials’ applications. This includes working with development and infrastructure teams to create solutions which meet requirements for new and existing applications and services. In addition, you will help determine and prioritize Securian’s needs relative to cloud technology, recommend changes, and ensure successful implementation. You will also continually evaluate emerging technologies and assess whether or not they should be integrated into Securian’s environment. • Responsibilities include but not limited to: • Design, create, and deploy new and enhanced solutions for Securian’s applications running on AWS using industry best practices • Code the creation and configuration of DevOps pipelines, security, infrastructure, and integration between services • Automate operational and management processes • Optimize cloud implementations for technical and cost efficiencies • Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to design custom solutions which meet requirements • Ensure security, compliance, governance, and audit requirements and best practices are met • Research and identify future state for new and enhanced cloud solutions

Required Skills: • Coding experience in Java, JavaScript, Python • Knowledge of/experience with AWS and related cloud technologies • DevOps pipeline experience (GitHub, Jenkins) • 1-2 years of experience engineering AWS services and capabilities • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or similar experience • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to clearly convey complex technical messages • Self-directed, highly motivated, independent

Preferred Skills: • Knowledge of Agile Scrum approach to development • Understanding of components across cloud and on premises data centers, integration options • 3-5 years of experience in other engineering • 2+ years of experience with other public cloud providers
