Position: Cloud Data Solutions Architect Location: Remote Duration: 6 month Contract Required SkillsTech Stack: • Data Engineering/Architecture Experience - DBT • Snowflake • GIT • Data Profiling • Data Modeling Additional Skills• Nice to have: o CI/CD pipeline experience o Healthcare and/or clinical data o Epic o Azure DevOps The Cloud Data Solution Architect is responsible for end to end solution design of cloud data solutions within the client’s cloud data platform. The Cloud Data Solution Architect plays a crucial role in understanding the organization's data and analytic landscape, including data sources, assets, tools, platform capabilities, data science capabilities, and master data.

Responsibilities

Creates end to end solution design of cloud data solutions within the cloud data platform including data ingestion patterns/solutions, curated data models, and business use case driven data products Builds and maintains a deep understanding the organization's data and analytic landscape, including data sources, curated data assets, platform technologies and capabilities, data science capabilities, and master data. Provide technical leadership to development teams including guiding, coaching, and mentoring other technical team members Develops and revises conceptual, logical, and physical data models that conform to current standards and conventions. Applies expertise and best practices to the development and revision of data architecture standards and conventions. Partners with security architects to ensure compliance with data security and privacy policies and procedures. Participates in architectural strategies on the Cloud platform e.g., integration with Data Lake and other Azure services. Interviews business users to obtain requirements for enhancements and/or new data and analytic assets Develops and revises data dictionary definitions, governance practices, and standards. Maps source system data to curated data models Assists in the development of data asset training and documentation. Develops and tests data pipelines on the cloud data platform Follows standards for technology and technical processes. Presents technical solutions to stakeholders and end users. Use/s the client’s values to govern decisions, actions, and behaviors. Required Skills: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience including continuing to innovate data architecture design and deployment, and data modelling Experience with Cloud Data platforms e.g., Snowflake, Azure Synapse Experience with the Azure stack (e.g. Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Azure Databricks, Azure ML, and Azure SQL) to help build a modern platform for data that will be sourced from a variety of analytic and operational applications Must possess experience using Erwin or similar tools for developing and maintaining data models Must possess strong data analysis skills into source systems to profile source system data Must possess strong data modeling skills Must have strong experience with SQL Experience in agile development data projects Understands how data is used to support analytical and/or operational reporting Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent consultative skills, understanding business needs and translating those needs to technical requirements and solutions. Strong creative problem solving with ability to craft solutions to meet the wide range of business needs across the organization Adept at establishing trusted relationships at all levels across the organization and collaborating across multi-functional teams Relational and dimensional data modeling and database design skills Knowledge of data warehousing architectural approaches Ability to construct simple to complex queries using a supported query tool Understands BI tool architecture, functions, features Flexibility, diplomacy, and problem-solving Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization including senior business and clinical leaders and executives Preferred but not required Healthcare industry experience and Epic data experience is preferred Experience with Tableau reporting tools a plus but not required
