Client: Moneygram Location: Frisco, TX Duration: Contract-to-hire

Primary Responsibilities • Serve as a technical lead on our most demanding, cross-functional cloud projects. • Migrate monolithic applications to micro services architectures. • Advise and lead implementing Cloud best practices. • Experience with full stack Java-based enterprise technologies and tools using Java, Node.js, Javascript, Cloud native/12-factor Microservices architecture, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud and Apache Camel. • Experience with modern software engineering practices using CI/CD and associated toolsets such as Git, AWS Code Commit, Jenkins, Travis, Bamboo, Concourse, Salt, AWS Code Deploy, AWS Code Pipeline, etc. • Event-driven and real-time architectures, patterns, messaging and streaming technologies such as using • Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, Amazon SQS/SNS, Amazon MQ, AWS Managed Services for Kafka etc. • Stateless and stateful applications for containers and container manager/schedulers such as Kubernetes, AWS EKS, AWS ECS and Docker • Ensure the quality of architecture and design of systems. • Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions. • Fully and completely understand system inter-dependencies and limitations. • Possess expert knowledge in performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering best practices. • Exert technical influence over multiple teams, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your deep knowledge and experience. • Leverage new technology paradigms (e.g., serverless, containers, microservices).

Qualifications

• · BS level technical degree or equivalent experience; Computer Science or Engineering background preferred.

Experience / Essential Skills • 6+ years of large scale software development or application engineering with recent coding experience in two or more of the following languages: Java, JavaScript, C/C++, C#, Objective-C, Node.js, Python • Hands-on experience with architecting and automating provisioning (Infrastructure as code), configuration management for infrastructure and applications. • Experience with Public cloud provider technologies especially AWS • Building cloud native solutions using API Gateway/RDS/Docker/ EKS platform is desired. • AWS professional level Solution Architect /DevOps Certification is a big plus. • Understanding of WAF and security tools is a big plus.
