Cloud Engineer

Job Title: Cloud Engineer Location: Remote Role Description: Individual fulfilling this role is expected to have the following qualifications: Expertise in Python, C#, JSON, XML, YAML, Expertise in AWS (specifically Lambdas, DynamoDB, S3, and API Gateway) Expertise in API Integrations, DevOps, CI/CD, Git, Gitlab, REST APIs, IDEs (Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio preferred) Knowledge of SAFe Agile, Agile, Kanban, Scrum Experience in Terraform, Ansible, Packer, OData, Archer, Splunk Experience with IT infrastructure designs, technologies, products, and services. This should include knowledge of networking protocols, firewall and proxy functionality, host and network intrusion detection systems, operating systems, databases, encryption, load balancing, and other technologies. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and experience in security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications and network protocols or an equivalent combination of education and work experience (5+ years). Individual fulfilling this role is expected to perform the following functions: Assist NIRT DE IS with migrating on-prem applications to NIRT AWS cloud environments. Migration of these applications will require the skillset of a developer. The migration of the on-prem applications is the main purpose of this SOW. Should the migration of on-prem applications be completed before the end of the contract date the individual would be required to help with additional NIRT DE IS work efforts. These efforts would be assigned by the NIRT DE IS Product Manager (PM), Product Owner (PO), Scrum Master (SM), and Architect Owner (AO) after the initial migration work has been determined to be successfully and fully completed. Jerry Arnold (AO) and Raul Sanchez (PO) will be responsible for tracking, onboarding, and assisting this individual.
