Role: Cloud Engineer Duration: 12 Months Location: Remote Required Skills: Primary: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Cost Optimization – can an engineer provide recommendations to save the company money throughout the projects Operational – high level troubleshooting and handling alerts Performance Efficiency – any sort of monitoring tool works, would like to someone to give manager cost efficiency recommendations for specific tools Site Reliability – multiple regions in the US that are running in the cloud and they would be responsible for 2 sites. Making sure the disaster recovery is healthy and the environment continues to run smoothly. Security/Configuration and Assessment Nice to Haves: Secondary: Azure, AWS, AliCloud, KVM Based MSP Cloud Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Azure Fileshare Job Description : Summary: Cordis Corporation, a medical device manufacturing company previously owned by Cardinal Health, was just sold to a large hedge fund company and they are adding additional engineers to help with the migration and integrations of the applications. This environment is primarily in the cloud, so the hiring manager is looking for someone primarily who understands Oracle Cloud, huge plus if they have Azure as well but not needed. This person will be primarily working on the building, improving and maintaining of the environment with some architecture tasks as well. This is the beginning stages of the project and this person will have the opportunity to grow an environment from the ground up! We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to work with our engineering team to optimize, implement, and maintain our organization’s cloud-based systems. A Cloud Engineer’s responsibilities include deploying and debugging systems, as well as executing new cloud initiatives.Ultimately, you will work with different IT professionals and teams to ensure our cloud computing systems meet the needs of our organization and customers. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with best practices Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and process functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on client needs Requirements and skills: Proven work experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role Oracle Cloud Infrastructure experience Troubleshooting and analytical skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Client management skills to discuss systems as needed Relevant training and/or certifications as a Cloud Engineer Thanks & Regards, Manoj - Technical Recruiter Thought wave Software and Solutions 314 N.
