About the role
Role: CloudSQL DBA
Duration: 6 month contract to hire Remote Capabilities (Y/N): Yes Client: ADT
W2 Only 100% REMOTE
Project Details – Size, Scale, Scope? How does candidate fit into this? This is a bran new role with ADT as they are moving their environment to GCP. Database as a Service (50% in cloud, 50% general admin).
Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like: Working closely with applications team to tune environment and optimize the platform.

What are the top 3 MUST HAVE technologies or Required experience for the position? • Excellent knowledge on relational database administration (SQL Server is a must and postgres is a plus) and systems administration (ability to optimize storage) • Linux Administration (GCP running on Linux) • Any Cloud experience managing DBaaS (GCP preferred, then AWS) – CloudSQL • Performance tuning with applications team (optimizing)
NICE TO HAVES (OR WHAT GETS THE WIN)? • Postgres • GCP Certification • AWS
Additional questions that should be asked for all reqs: Technical Environment: GCP, SQL Server, Cloud SQL, Linux Certifications: GCP cert or Cloud Certs are a plus
