About the role
Role: Data Analyst
Duration:8 months Location:hybrid
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: •Using epidemiologic strategies, interpret and analyze data using statistical techniques and aid in providing ongoing oral and written reports to guide in decision-making. •Perform analyses with survey data via SAS, including the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) and Youth Tobacco Survey data •Perform analyses with large healthcare datasets, including hospital discharge and long-term care facility data •Possess knowledge of survey data and statistical regression analyses •Ability to perform statistical calculations on datasets, including age-adjusted rates •Ability to create data visualizations in Tableau, including knowledge of basic data preparation, cleaning, merging, and relationship joins •Ability to design research questions related to testing the effectiveness of public health programs or interventions •Ability to use Microsoft Excel and SAS to support the creation of data reports and visualizations
Skills Required
- 1 year Experience using Tableau for data visualization 1 year Experience using SAS for data analysis and reporting 2 years Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) independently in a professional setting Experience using R or Python for data analysis and reporting Highly desired
