About the role
Role: Data engineer Location- 100% Remote Status- Green Card or US Citizen IV Process- 1 Video Interview and then Offer Responsibilities: • Reviews project statistical models and associated artifacts to ensure compliance and adherence to specifications. • Quality validation of Fraud Models developed for the platform. • Develops, documents, tests and debugs software models that contain logical and mathematical solutions. • Develops documents, tests and debugs entity-relationship-diagrams (ERD) for relational data models. • Communicates with analytics model developers to ensure compliance to specifications, mitigate operational errors, and pursue timely delivery of software components are associated artifacts. • Recommends remediation for identified model functional errors, prepares operating instructions, and compiles documentation of program development. • Able to follow configuration and change management policies and procedures in maintain software. • Works in coordination with multiple teams to ensure consistency in naming conventions and promotes the sharing and reuse of data across applications and business areas. • Ensures that tasks adhere to monthly schedule and delivery goals are met. Basic Qualifications: • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field, and a minimum of 5 years related technical experience. • Minimum of 4 plus years’ experience SQL analysis on relational data models. • Minimum of 4 plus years’ experience with Medicare Health Data. • Data acquisition and analysis, health care data cross correlation. • Practical knowledge and experience required for SparkR, PySpark, Databricks, and Snowflake. • Skilled in performance analysis of SQL queries against large data warehouses. • Ability to prioritize workload for multiple data scientists and business analyst customer. • Basic skills and experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting relational data systems. • Knowledgeable of full lifecycle software and data warehouse analytics development. • Experience working in an Agile or Kanban environment Preferred Qualifications • Demonstrates ability to communicate with individuals at many different levels from within and from outside of the company. • Experience analyzing complex situations and delivery and direction to technical staff in times of uncertainty. • Excellent communication skills. • Goal-oriented demeanor and ability to get things done with a proactive and forward thinking approach. • Experience working with CMS customers. • Experience in developing data models in one or more of the following R, and/or Python. • Experience with Notebook technologies including Databricks or Jupyter. • SDLC software such as JIRA and Confluence a plus. • Experience using Grafana.
