About the role
Role- Data Engineer Duration- 6 Months Location- Remote Skills: Azure (Databricks preferred) SQL Snowflake (preferred) Building out Snowpark now PySpark (preferred but not a must have) Python Typical Engineering mindset Be ready to scale as required; may go into GCP, but nothing is set in stone Core Python Programming Separate teams for DevOps, Production Support and Data Scientist work Data Science team communicates with the core customers and business, then the Data Engineering team architects and puts into production Methodology: Moving from Waterfall to Agile (slowly) Working with Rally now, moving to Jira as that transition continues Must-Haves (Concepts & Tools): Python Azure SQL Nice to Have: Snowflake; (v. nice to have, if candidate is strong in SQL, then he is comfortable with CE learning Snowflake) GCP Knowledge on CI/CD (Gitlab, Jenkins) Basic knowledge of data modeling Moving to Snowpark (newer technology) -- ---- Thanks & Regards, Tejash - Technical Recruiter Thought wave Software and Solutions 314 N.
