About the role
HIGH PRIORITY @ Remote / Data Engineer - Immediate Hiring Contract Length: 12m+ • The consultant will be focused on building automation pipelines using AWS Services and leveraging his/her Python and Spark Libraries (such as Pyspark). • Strong background in ETL and ELT is required along with ability to work with data analytics teams. • Strong preference will be given for candidates who have worked with data engineering for pharmaceutical R&D Data. Job Requirements • Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent. • 3+ years of professional working experience in ETL and Data Engineer field. • 3+ years of experience in software and data pipeline development using AWS cloud solutions. • 3+ years of experience with AWS services like Lambda, EC2, EMR, Redshift, Glue, S3, IAM, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB etc. • 2+ years of experience working with AWS Glue for ETL processes. • 3+ years of Python along with 2+ years of experience in Pyspark. • Knowledge of cloud networking, security, storage, and compute service • A strong technical understanding of ETL processes, data analytics tools and their associated technologies. • Sound understanding design patterns, version control, and serverless deployment; attention to detail. • Curiosity and a high energy level so as to proactively engage our diverse set of business partners; self-starter with an independent mentality, ready to engage in hands-on work and fast prototyping. • Excellent personal leadership, teamwork, communication, and analytical skills; strong project management skills. • Proficient in English both verbally and in writing. • Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing processes or biological background is a plus.
