About the role
ROLE: Data/cloud engineer
Location: REMOTE(Then relocate to Jersey City, NJ) Contract: 6 months extendable or perm VISA: Any Visa
Must have: either python, java, or big data, AWS, EC2, ETL, Spark, Hive, HFDS, SQL, and data structures
· Cloud:
AWS Cloud Infrastructure experience (cloud formation, basic services via CLI) Compute: EC2, ECS, Lambda, EMR Data: Athena, Glue, Redshift, RDS, · Engineer:
Software Developer (Python, Java, .Net, JS libraries) Container Oriented CI/CD Microservices, ETL/ELT patterns, Event-driven design · Data (BA):
SQL Expressions / Execution (query plan, cost optimization, etc) Data Structures (schema, indices, partitions, sort keys, etc) Knowledge of Metadata Management, Data Models, Ontologies, and Data Lake Concepts Buzzwords: SQL, Spark, Hive, HDFS/Parquet/AVRO
