About the role
Role: Data Engineer
Location: Hybrid onsite in Sunnyvale, CA 2x/week Duration: 6-12 month contract to hire (Possibility for FT conversion but open for long term extensions if preferred)
Skills Required
5+ years of solid Scala/Java and 2+ years’ experience in design, implementation, and support of solutions big data solution in Hadoop using Hive/SQL, Spark, Drill, Impala, HBase Hands on experience with Unix, Teradata and other relational databases. Airflow or Jenkins, needs to be local to Bay Area -> 2x/week on-site Strong communication and problem-solving skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 5 years’ experience in computer programming, software development or related
Job Description: Hey team, sharing over Designs, develops, and implements Hadoop eco-system based applications to support business requirements. Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates design documents, and performs program coding and testing. Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
Day-To-Day: working with diverse data sources to extract the data, process the data, and push it out, creating ETL pipelines- develop the pipeline, testing, validation and release.
Nice to Have: ads experience, Statistics knowledge, GCP (cloud exp. is a requirement but any cloud is ok, good knowledge of GCP is what is nice to have)- AWS or Azure is fine
