Please go through below Job description and lf you are comfort/available for the position then respond with latest/updated resume to srinivas@wavsols.com or 630-397-0596/140 Role: Data Modeler Location: Remote until they are able to go back onsite in Westlake, TX Contract Duration: 6+ Months Interview process- 2 webex interviews This person will start in January What team does: Maintain the data warehouse Create tables, schedule jobs, place data into the warehouse Work with the ETL team (Use informatica) Database is Teradata, but are moving to big data and cloud (GCP, but any type of cloud experience would be welcome) Looking for a true Data Modeler with data warehousing experience to be a part of the Data Modeling Team Use Erwin for Data Modeler tool Person should have been doing modeling for at least 50% of their role This is a Data position in the Data Management team in Global Data Delivery organization. The Data Management team is ultimately responsible for the data model for Enterprise Data Warehouse and Big Data store. The Data Management team establishes data modeling standards for the Data Warehouse and Big Data and ensures all projects go through data model reviews. While we are mature on the classic Data Warehouse, we want to ramp up on our use of Big Data and Cloud technologies. What we are looking for in this position is a mix of data modeling experience combined with Big Data and Cloud Data Warehouse (example Big Query) skillset. Candidate will help create data design standards and best practices for Big Data and Cloud Data Warehouse, so that we can maximize our use of new technologies, and avoid creating data "swamp". * Data Modeling, ERwin (or equivalent is a must) tool experience, strong SQL, data analysis, Kimball and Inmon design concepts, Teradata (highly desired) * Big Data skills (must) ++ Hive minimum 1 year experience with production deployments, deep knowledge of Hive architecture, configuration * Cloud experience – preferably GCP ++ Data Warehouses on the cloud – preferably Big Query * Reporting (desired). * Ability to work in a fast-paced, technical, cross-functional environment and be able to produce with minimal direction. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
