DATA SCIENTIST

Role:Sr.Data Scientist Location:Minneapolis Duration:6 months Must Haves: Data Science Big data R language Python Spark Airflow Hive Job Description This position will provide support for assessing campaign effectiveness and campaign optimization. This individual will be required to effectively articulate results to internal stakeholders including, but not limited to, member experience, marketing, and leadership. Excel reports and some PPT – • give overview of campaign, objectives, test design, and results • give recommendations for improvements • Work with large data sets – big data • R is a real big benefit – Moving away from SAS • Previous experience on data science projects • Need to be technical / but need to be able to speak with marketing individuals o Outbound Campaigns: telephonic / email / Direct Mail / some that are reminders of benefits / getting them to engage and address their heath • Predicative modeling to support and identify the population • Predictive Modeling: machine learning and ML is required – 2 years of experience here training models, need professional experience – not just college Primary Responsibilities: • Provide analytical support for Government Operations - Member Experience • Deliver all analytic initiatives and requests prioritized by key business partner • Design, measure, and analyze campaigns and provide strategic recommendations to stakeholders • Develop and implement effective/strategic solutions through exploration, analysis, and modeling of data • Presenting results and possible areas for improvement Additional Skills ideally experience in direct mail response – how do we target those individuals Healthcare domain – claims data is a plus, or broader healthcare is a plus Nice to haves: • Healthcare industry experience • Experience utilizing Oracle and DB2 Database tool is preferred • Knowledge of PowerPoint is desired • Big Data Application Development specific skills: Air Flow, Spark, Hive, Python • Masters Degree Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, or similar field • 2+ years hands-on expertise with Big Data technologies and relational databases • Proficient user skills in Excel and Word is required • Experience in programming with analytical tools such as SAS or R • 2+ years of experience performing, managing, and delivering on data science projects/initiatives Thanks & Regards, PremTarun P IT-Recruiter Staffing | Thoughtwave Software and Solutions Desk: 6306182581 Email:tarun@wavsols.com
