Role:Lead Data Scientist

Location:Candidates MUST be in Columbus or Easton, OH in order to be eligible for this role Duration:12 Months

Must Haves: 3-5 years of enterprise Data Science experience Masters Degree (Statistics, Data Science, Economics, etc) Python or R Cloud (AWS is preferred but will take Azure/GCP)LLM.

Key Responsibilities Partner with product leadership to manage the full AI development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, data sourcing, model development, proof-of-concept builds, risk reviews, and production deployment across on-premises and cloud environments. Demonstrate strong ownership and self-discipline in managing project activities, maintaining clear communication with leadership, seeking guidance when needed, and proactively escalating risks, blockers, or resource needs. Apply automation techniques to streamline manual processes, improve accuracy and productivity, and build reusable, scalable self-service tools and assets. Stay up-to-date on emerging AI, machine learning, and cloud technologies, driving innovation by evaluating and integrating new capabilities into workflows and products.

Basic Requirements PhD or Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience working with cloud-based machine learning platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure), including hands-on experience with tools such as model orchestration, serverless compute, and cloud data services. Proficiency in Python (preferred) or R, Spark, and other modern data science tools. Working knowledge of Large Language Models (e.g., Llama, Claude, Titan), including experience with LangChain-style frameworks, vector databases, embeddings, and prompt engineering.
