About the role
Data Scientist Location: Oakland, CA Remote: initially will be remote, but will be expected to be in the office at some point once things clear. Most likely 3-4 days per week. WFH for now, but as things progress they will want someone who will work onsite due to PHI the majority of the time. Anticipate 3-4 days on site down the road. Duration: Multi-year
Interview process: First screen – technical via video with him and the data scientist 2nd interview – Teams panel with the team
Need NLP background If they have worked with Bert ML library that is a HUGE plus.
- Top 5 skills Python programming – clustering techniques, modeling, algorithms SQL DB skills – Foundational skill – still needed
Time series forecasting – good to have Great interpersonal skills – must be easy to work with/communicate with.
This group is a Central Reporting team, working with 11 internal teams on the following: Time series forecasting Trend Analysis, Forecasting, A/B Testing
Text classification, text generation, and language based predictions. Neuro-network transformers New role does have more of a NLP algorithms, ML techniques, PyTorch, Tensorflow, and BERT (Google product for ML/NLP – modeling tool), and Transformers. Identifying, looking for, and classifying information via text and separating from other search terms Tableau is lower down the list, still a nice to have. Supporting 11 different teams with their Data analytics, reporting, and metrics teams. This individual will work on a high visibility project directly impacting physician care to the members of Kaiser. Work in a diverse team. Must be a team player, someone willing to coach others.
