Data Scientist (Mid-Level) About the Role LN is looking for a Data Scientist supporting AI solutions that help legal professionals stay current as laws and regulations change. In this role, you will contribute to systems that use large language models (LLMs), advanced search, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to analyze new and updated case law and legislation and assist in updating impacted content. You will work under the guidance of a Lead Data Scientist and collaborate with engineers, product leaders, and legal experts. What You’ll Do Support the development and improvement of AI solutions using LLMs to analyze legal and regulatory changes. Help build and maintain semantic and hybrid search capabilities to identify content impacted by new case law and legislation. Contribute to LLM-based workflows that research legal changes and generate draft updates to impacted content. Assist in implementing and testing agentic or multi-agent LLM workflows for research, drafting, and review. Participate in model evaluation, prompt refinement, and quality checks to improve system accuracy and reliability. Collaborate with software engineers and cross-functional teams to support the integration of data science models and workflows into production systems. What You Bring Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field. 2–4 years of relevant experience in data science, machine learning, or applied AI roles. Experience working with large language models or transformer-based models (e.g., GPT-style models, BERT, T5). Hands-on experience applying LLMs such as ChatGPT, GPT-4/3.5, Claude, or Mistral in projects or production environments. Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), semantic search, or vector-based retrieval concepts. Proficiency in Python and experience working with data pipelines or ML workflows. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. For this role, I’m specifically looking for candidates with strong hands-on experience in working with data models, training, evaluation of data     quality, experience with NLP, LLMs, Generative AI and AWS.
