About the role
Job Title: Database Administrator Location: Remote Required Skills : Looking for: • 5-7 yrs DBA exp o Performance monitoring, monitoring, automating monitoring tools, and support function (work on tickets without needing help) • SQL and Oracle exp Responsible for the design, implementation, and support of logical database management structures, as well as database recovery, back-up, security, archiving and conversion strategies. Focuses on enhancing database performance through proactive monitoring, reporting and tuning and provides technical assistance. Collaborates with application development teams on various database issues and takes a lead role in problem resolution. Requires knowledge and experience with designing, tuning, implementing and supporting database management structures (relational, hierarchical, distributed) and their associated platforms. Requires experience in data manipulation, normalization, storage allocation, fragmentation and replication. Proven experience as troubleshooter of database hardware, software and/or communications problems. 7-10 years of relevant work experience is required with Sybase.
