Role:Database Developer/Engineer

Location:Charleston, SC – 3 days onsite/2 remote Duration:6 months contract to hire

Must Haves: 5+ years of database engineering/development experience Experience building database tables or functions Experience managing large sets of data PostgreSQL preferred but will take any database Expert SQL Python and ETL experience is highly preferred Ability to obtain and/or maintain SECRET clearance

Description: What You’ll Get to Do: Coordinate with multiple teams: external data team, test team, developer team, and UX designer. Build and refine application database based on feature requirements that get refined and updated sprint-by-sprint. Maintain logical data mapping between application database and external data sources. Create and maintain a large test dataset for the application (a minimum of multiple thousands of rows). Track, version, deploy, and rollback database changes to production and development databases. Configure databases to meet cybersecurity requirements, ensure regulatory compliance, and adhere to database best practices, Analyze and write complex queries to support gathering metrics, troubleshooting application issues, and diagnosing performance issues. Work closely with members of the development, test, and operations teams to troubleshoot build breaks, enforce software quality standards, and deployment of the application to non-production and production environments. Stay abreast of industry standards and apply innovations Executing MySQL statements to support the development team and table migrations during deployment of new versions of the application.
