About the role
Role:Database Engineer
Location:Remote Duration:6 Month+ Contract
Job Summary: We are on the lookout for a dedicated Database Engineer to spearhead the development of our new data foundation. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in crafting robust database architectures, ensuring data security, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain scalable database solutions from the ground up, aligning with the company’s data strategy. Work closely with technical and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of database services. Set and enforce baselines for data variances to guarantee data consistency and reliability. Implement stringent data security measures to protect sensitive information. Utilize AWS tooling expertise to optimize database performance and reliability. Apply knowledge of data warehousing best practices, particularly within the Snowflake ecosystem. Support data analytics initiatives and application maintenance as part of the team’s core functions.
Qualifications
Solid background in database engineering, with a focus on data modeling and architecture. Exceptional analytical skills for managing complex data structures and workflows. Proficiency in AWS services, with hands-on experience being highly desirable. Experience with Snowflake and data warehousing technologies. Familiarity with Informatica or similar data integration tools. Ability to collaborate effectively with geographically dispersed teams, primarily in the US and India. Strong communication abilities to liaise with team members in Minneapolis. A strong commitment to upholding data privacy and security protocols
