DevOps Engineer

Role: DevOps Engineer – Sr. Site Reliability Engineer Duration:12 months Job location: Peoria, IL (Non Locals, ready to relocate) Top Skills: AWS, Kubernetes, Python, ML OPS. Must-have's: AWS experience, Some type of Devops experience Python experience Kubernetes Debug code ,help show where issues are popping up One non technical skill we need - we need someone that can run with problems, see them to completion, not wait for a ticket full of requirements, needs someone with experience who can see docker compose file, go get it deployed on AWS, can improve XYZ, use the analogy of factory worker vs someone working in an office. Some component to that but def need someone that can look at processes ML ops - main team they are interacting with are all doing ML Ops. Keeping track of experiments, training, going along with it. Having a basic understanding of that is key Hard nice to have: SOFT SKILLS - relationship building Responsibilities: The DevOps Developer position will be in support of a Autonomy and Automation organization, with the goal of maintaining, and improving the current CI/CD pipeline. The DevOps Developer will manage software development operations, implement engineering tools, and use their process knowledge to streamline updates or creation Responsibilities: Monitor and maintain applications and environments for A&A teams Develop and Deploy environments with Infrastructure as Code Supporting projects to migrate from legacy components to supported technology Researching future developer tool related products/versions Leading/participating with teams that define DevOps strategy Required skills: Ability to work well with a geographically distributed team Ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply them with an enterprise perspective Ability to act in a self-directed manner, independently researching tools/libraries/technologies or solving a problem with minimal oversight and instructions Excellent communication skills (in English) to persuade others to use recommended practices and technologies A strength in source code management strategies using Git and other popular tools. A clear understanding the Software Development Life Cycle Strong technical problem-solving skills A familiarity with administering Linux or Windows Server An understanding of security best practices 15+ years experience with the following technologies and processes: Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. Python scripting and development. Amazon Web Services.
