About the role
Role: Devops Egineer
Duration: 6 Months Location: HYBRID IN BOSTON, MA – need to be able to go onsite 2 days a week
Required Skills: 10 years of experience in software development A drive towards automating repetitive tasks (e.g. scripting via Bash, Python, Ruby, etc) Experience maintaining and deploying highly-available, fault-tolerant systems at scale Practical experience with Docker containerization and clustering (Kubernetes/ECS) Version control system experience - Git Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Chef) Experience in Finance / Markets
Job Descripition: -Design, architect, and build a state-of-the-art platform to empower extensive reporting capabilities, research, and real-time analytics, in support of our new global, multi-asset trading organization. -Implement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g. scripting via Bash, Python, Ruby, etc) -Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments (e.g. Jenkins, TravisCI) -Support and work alongside a cross-functional engineering team on the latest technologies -As part of a team implement DevOps infrastructure projects -Design and implement secure automation solutions for development, testing, and production environments -Implement industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management -Develop and maintain solutions for operational administration, system/data backup, disaster recovery, and security/performance monitoring -Continuously evaluate existing systems with industry standards, and make recommendations for improvement -Support front office traders with production related queries and issues -Monitor and review current alerting framework for file transfers -Design and build solutions for production support tools -Implement workflow tools and automation to mitigate risks associated with trade execution. -Programming well-designed, testable, secure, an
