Role- DevOps Engineer Duration- 5 Months Location- Remote Required Skills : MUST HAVE: -8+ years of AWS DevOps Engineering experience -AWS – Network type stuff (firewalls, routing, load balancing) – will be in charge or troubleshooting rather than deploying, security groups, EC2, API gateways, cloud formation, understanding ports - 99.99% AWS Strong experience in at least 1: Kubernetes Scripting Infrastructure – (networking, systems, storage, etc.) Security **The manager wants a DevOps Engineer who has experience in all skillsets above BUT excellent deep level knowledge and experience in AT LEAST one skillset above, doesn’t matter which one but interviews will likely be targeted more towards their strengths. They will be asked what they know and how well they know it. ** Basic Qualifications : Summary: This position is a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer. The hiring manager is asking for someone with an excellent scripting or programming background, no preference on what language. They want someone who has a strong general knowledge of the below skillsets in as well as the scripting or programming. A key focus of this role is providing solutions that are robust, scalable, and highly available. The AWS DevOps Engineer is passionate about learning and enjoys a deep dive into complex problems and technologies. Critical to this role is the ability to break down non-trivial concepts clearly and concisely for mixed audiences. Job Functions Configure cloud services, cloud native container orchestration platforms for high traffic applications. Collaborate with technical teams and cloud vendors to define best practice adoption of cloud technology and deliver best of breed solutions Automate application delivery pipelines for containerized and legacy applications running in the cloud and on-premises. Provisioning monitoring and APM tools to provide application health insights. Provision, configure and maintain infrastructure for multiple production and test environments Collaborate with cross functional teams to proactively reduce MTTR or production incidents through automated healing mechanisms and curating health indicators. Familiarity with any monitoring tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, Nagios, New Relic. Experience with revision control source code repositories like Git, TFS, SVN, Mercurial. Experience with automated testing tools (ie. Selenium, JMeter). Understanding and experience with code deployment (tagging). Understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA and REST)., knowledge, certifications Notes to Vendor : Team, we are back at square one on this position. The interviews did not go well and the manager wants to see additional candidates. The manager is requesting we set candidates up with an Apex technical screening before we submit them so we know their technical experience is strong enough. We have interview times on the managers calendar for Thursday (3/23) 1pm-4pm, Friday(3/24) 2pm-5pm and Monday (3/27) 3pm-4:30pm for candidates that pass the Apex technical screening.
