DevOps engineer lead

Role- DevOps engineer lead Duration- 6 Months Location- 100% Remote Required Skills: .NET Top Candidate Skills •10+ years of experience with Continuous Integration Delivery models such as Azure DevOps, including Git, CI/CD pipelines •10+ years of experience in systems engineering and network administration •7+ years utilizing logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions, and/or similar solutions as a system administrator What determines the best candidate over an average candidate?: • A long tenure within previous work; a few years • Part of resume that shows developing solutions not just coding Disqualifiers?: • Short duration in contracts, long, unexplained gaps Team culture: • Collaborative culture, must be able to work independently but have good relationship management • Collaborate with different business system team members including analysis, testers, developers. • Ability to understand individual work in order to prioritize deliverables across multiple agile projects/teams concurrently. Key projects: Starbucks Delivers • Developing tech solutions by creating new and modifying existing complex software applications. • Participates in requirements gathering activities. Reviews systems under development and related documentation. • Codes, tests, debugs, documents, and implements complex software applications. • Knowledge in databases and comfortable with various SQL and NoSQL databases, such as Cassandra, Dynamo, Aurora • Experience in the design, implementation, and delivery of sophisticated build/test/release infrastructure • Knowledge in application development and supporting a development environment • Experience with highly virtualized environments and public cloud technologies, such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud. Azure preferred. • Demonstrated experience implementing and managing high capacity, redundant, and mission critical environments • Demonstrated ability to automate repetitive tasks using a common scripting or programming language • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a fast-paced and cross-functional team • Expertise in writing Automation Scripts using scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) to automate/administrate/manage resources. • Expertise with containerization technologies (AKS) Daily schedule: • Working independently- manage own schedule • Daily stand-ups • Developing Starbucks • Participating in daily Sprints • Collaborates in planning, decomposing, estimating, scheduling, prioritization and resource allocation exercises. Mitigates risk with prototypes for complex problems as appropriate. Build incrementally, with an eye toward vision of the final product. Provides transparency in approach and progress, throughout the process. • Participates in the solution design process: requirements gathering and backlog refinement, shapes and guides systems approach, helps with project initiation, contributes to functional design, and leads technical design and development. • Key contributor and driver in the deployment approach, including planning and execution, data conversion approach, script development and execution, warranty period and transition of the solution to the platform's operational context.
