Devops Lead

Job Description : The Lead DevOps Engineer will be responsible for Developing and maintaining process to coordinate and track deployment on test environments as well as for design and development of CI/CD process flow for current and new software.

In this role you will be taking ownership of deployment activities in cross functional multi- environment system (AWS, GCP). In addition, you will be working hands on with container infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, etc.)

What you will be doing:

Manage release deployments on the various test systems and production system involving several inter-related applications Coordinate to maintain the builds on several Environments such that it will provide the needs of the Environment users. Coordinate Env Configuration changes as needed. Create short-term plans to deliver environments to support sprint-based testing and deliveries Plan ahead what streams/Applications will be deployed on which Environment at the portfolio-level Develop and maintain process to track test environments required for QA Provide ongoing support for test environments Interface and communicate with Test Managers, Dev Manages, DevOps to schedule and coordinate builds/releases for several applications across the integrated environments. Communicate test environment availability to project management and quality assurance Working hands on with container infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS, GKE, GAE, etc.) Working hands on with cloud infrastructure (AWS, and Google) Automate and continuously improve build/deploy processes

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related degree or equivalent work experience in specified role Ability to communicate with stakeholders: project management, QA, and engineering Focus on scheduling accuracy with the ability to keep a constantly shifting environment calendar up to date Strong technical, organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrable ability to communicate effectively in both technical and business environments Experience with a cloud-based, enterprise platform running on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud. At least 2 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with hands-on experience Practical experience with CI using tools such as Jenkins Experience creating, deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting Docker images Experience scoping, deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters Basic to intermediate knowledge of database / caching technologies Understanding of networks, including subnets, VPN, firewalls, and load balancing Knowledge of agile processes (Scrum / Kanban) Initiative to work independently, but also ability to accept and follow instructions
